About Jikoni

Jikoni - (n.) kitchen

In Swahili, Jikoni means kitchen.

At our core, that's what we are.

A space to cook, to create, and to share.

Founded in 2019 by Kiano Moju, Jikoni began as a culinary studio in downtown Los Angeles—part kitchen, part creative hub for food storytelling. What started as a space for content creation and collaboration has grown into something much bigger: a rotating AfriCali dining concept rooted in culture, community, and flavor.

Today, Jikoni is a home for pop-ups, private dining experiences, brand collaborations, and small group cooking classes. Every event is grounded in AfriCali cooking—where Kiano’s Kenyan and Nigerian heritage meets the freshness and ease of California.

No two pop-ups are the same. But they all share one thing: a deep love for good food, bold flavors, and the stories behind them.
